Frequently Asked Questions

Truely is based on AI algorithms that are getting smarter every day.
What makes Sync different?

Sync differs from most online storage cloud services in that they may access, scan, and read your files. Only you have access to your data in the cloud thanks to Sync's end-to-end secured storage technology and applications. Sync can't read your data, and neither can anybody else.

What is Sync?

Sync's encrypted cloud storage infrastructure ensures that only you have access to your data in your online cloud storage, protecting your privacy. Your sensitive data is totally protected from unwanted access, which is the only way you can have complete faith in the cloud.

Is Sync compliant with privacy laws? is completely compliant with PIPEDA, FIPPA, PIPA, PHIPA, ATIPPA, and FOIPOP. Sync complies with all data privacy regulations in British Columbia and Alberta for cloud storage. Our servers are situated in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and all data in the cloud online storage is encrypted in transit and at rest.

What is Sync vault?

Vault is a cloud-only storage space included with your Sync account. Vault is commonly used to back up files and folders that aren't in your Sync folder. Vault files are not automatically synced with your other computers or devices, making it perfect for backups or clearing space.

What's the difference between the Sync and vault folders?

The Sync folder is a unique folder on your computer that is automatically backed up to the cloud storage online whenever you add or modify files. Files in the Sync folder are immediately synced to any other computer on which the Sync desktop software is installed. Vault is a standalone "cloud-only" storage place that does not synchronize automatically.

Can I share files with my team?

Yes. Team shared folders make it simple to provide others access to folders you define, allowing them to read, modify, or add files. Each team member's Sync account is added to shared folders, which are then synced to each member's computer (when the Sync desktop app is installed).

Does Sync support 2-factor authentication?

Yes. Two-factor authentication is a recommended security option for preventing unwanted access to your Sync account. When you enable two-factor authentication, the cloud online storage applications and web panel will ask for an extra security code (in addition to your password) when you sign in or add a new computer or device to your account.

Can I access my files with my mobile devices?

Yes. The Sync applications are available for Android, iPhone, and iPad, and they make it simple to access your files from your phone or tablet. By searching for "" or following the links above, you can get the mobile app on Google Play or the Apple App Store . You may simply use your mobile web browser to access Sync without having to download the app.

What is selective Sync?

You may choose which folders in your Sync folder are synchronized to each device if you have the Sync desktop software installed on several machines. A grey circle with a minus sign overlay symbol appears when a folder is deselected through selective sync, indicating that it is no longer syncing and is safe to remove from your computer (to free up space).

How does Sync protect my data?

Your private data in the cloud is always protected from unwanted access thanks to end-to-end encryption. With SAS RAID storage, automated failover, and a 99.9% or greater uptime SLA, data is duplicated across several SSAE 16 type 2 certified datacentre locations.
